Welcome to Your Bonita Blueprint Consultation
The Bonita Blueprint is our whole-face approach to aesthetics. Through science, artistry, and millimeter precision, we design a plan that elevates you without changing who you are.
This page will help you prepare, know what to expect, and get the most from your visit.
1. What Your Consult Includes
Your consultation is an unhurried, in-depth look at you as a whole. It includes:
- A detailed facial analysis of your facial shape, proportions, symmetry, light and shadow, facial thirds, areas of hollowing, transitions, skin quality, and dermal support
- A conversation about your goals, concerns, and medical history
- Photos for your treatment plan and to track your progress over time
- A personalized Blueprint plan with recommended treatments, sequencing, and pricing
2. How Long to Plan For
- Consultation only: about 1 hour
- Consultation plus same-day treatment: about 2–3 hours, sometimes longer
Hoping to be treated the same day as your consult? Please call us at (916) 572-7530 before your visit so we can reserve enough time for you. Without calling ahead, same-day treatment can't be guaranteed.
3. Medical Clearance (Required Before Any Treatment)
For your safety, medical clearance is required before any treatment. We complete this through WeTreat.
You're welcome to complete your WeTreat clearance before your consult or treatment day, and we strongly recommend it. This is especially important if you're traveling from out of town, so you know you're cleared for treatment before you make the trip.

4. Our Skin-Forward Approach
Healthy skin is the foundation of beautiful, natural results.
During your consult, we may recommend medical-grade skincare and/or laser treatments before facial balancing to help you achieve the best, most natural outcome. If skin treatments are recommended, they can be done in place of your facial balancing appointment that day.
5. Prepare Your Skin for the Best Results
For the best outcome and minimal downtime, we recommend a few simple steps in the weeks and days before your treatment:
- Arnica tablets: take 2 tablets, up to 3 times per day, for 5 days before your treatment to help minimize bruising and swelling.
- Mystro Revive Renewing Serum: begin using 5 weeks (2 times a day) before your treatment to maintain a healthy skin barrier.
- Ampra Volumizing Macro HA Serum: begin using 5 weeks (2 times a day) before your treatment to keep your skin hydrated and resilient.

6. Hydration: Prepare Your Skin
- Drink at least 10 cups of water per day for 3 days before your appointment for the best experience and most effective results.
- Well-hydrated skin is ready for a skin treatment, in case one is recommended in place of facial balancing for the most natural results.
- IV hydration can be added to your visit, but drinking water in the days beforehand is still strongly recommended.
7. Downtime and Scheduling Around Events
Facial balancing can involve swelling, tenderness, and bruising that take time to settle.
- Please avoid scheduling treatment right before special events such as weddings, photoshoots, vacations, holidays, or important work events.
- Allow a full month before any major event, so you have time to heal fully and room for a touch-up if needed.
8. Before Your Appointment
- Arrive with a clean face, or plan to remove your makeup when you arrive.
- Bring a list of your current medications and supplements.
- Unless prescribed by your physician, avoid alcohol, fish oil, vitamin E, ibuprofen, aspirin, and other blood-thinning supplements for several days beforehand to lower your risk of bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication without talking to your doctor first.
- Please reschedule if you have an active cold sore (only for your lip filler treatment), skin infection, or illness, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let us know about any upcoming dental work or vaccines.
- Traveling from out of town? Build in a little buffer time, and avoid booking flights or long drives immediately after treatment.
- A deposit is required to secure your consultation, and our 48-hour cancellation policy applies. Deposit amounts vary by provider; please review our Patient Policies for full details.
9. Our Honest Approach to Results
Every face and body is unique, and each responds to treatment differently. Results are not guaranteed, and even with the best plan, they vary from person to person.
Our consultations are fully transparent. If we feel our treatments won't benefit you, we will tell you honestly. However, results can always vary regardless of expectations.
